Pre travel checklist

Please book your crossing and return crossing in advance

The Clan Albain is an open top boat exposed to all weather conditions. Please be aware that it will be  colder and wetter on the boat than you would expect. Please check the weather and dress appropriately. 

We suggest that you arrive at the jetty at least 10 minutes before the planned departure time. 

If you are visiting Scoraig please be aware that the start of the walk in is at a different location from where the boat leaves from. The distance between the two locations is approximately 40 minutes driving. If you plan to walk one way (in or out) and boat the other way (in or out) then please keep this in mind. 

If you are booking onward travel, please be aware that delays or cancellations may occur with short notice due to unforeseen circumstances-see cancellations below. 

If you know you will not be able to make a crossing you have booked, please let us know as soon as possible, as this will enable us to offer the space to others who may need it. 

Cancellation fees may be incurred if there is insufficient notice. 

We may need to cancel a crossing for a variety of reasons. Some reasons to cancel include unfavorable weather, tides, or other unforeseen issues. The final decision will be made by the skipper and you will be informed as soon as possible. We cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to cancellations at short notice due to adverse conditions.
